Been a long time since we have tasted a Robusta. I was not a big fan of the harsh bitterness and spicy taste, but I am definitely willing to give it another try with our new DF64 grinder and Flair 58.
At grinder setting 7: too fast shot but still an acceptable drink, with no acidity while dialing in. At 5: perfect flow and a far more pleasant drink with hints of vanilla. Big puffy beans, but very light in weight, almost hollow. Much more pleasant experience than the last time I had robusta, but would still not buy it if it wasn't part of a mystery tasting set.
