We had quite a challenge dialing in the grind size for this bean, as the usual settings on the Perfetto grinder were found to be too fine for this bean. Starting at 1, the flow was very low, resulting in a pungent spicy taste reminiscent of a typical Robusta bean. Gradually adjusting to coarser settings, it wasn't until 2.5 that the flow and with it, the taste improved. That's a pretty coarse setting in comparison to the beans we usually have!
It might even be the coarsest grind ever for our Flair Pro 2 setup. When dialed in right, we still got a slightly watery mouthfeel in the cup and the spice notes characteristic of the beans was still there, albeit less distracting.
