Wakuli Christmas Blend 2022

Wakuli Christmas Blend is a Wakuli coffee special that we ordered through the newsletter, but was initially delivered as Robusta beans by mistake. At a 0.5 grind setting, the Robusta beans produced a sharp taste with notes of bitter grapefruit, oats, and gingerbread.

After contacting the Wakuli customer service I was wondering why none of the newsletter ads mentioned this being a pure robusta offering. Turns out I was sent a pack of robusta by accident, probably because the bags had the same color as the christmas blend. Thankfully, Wakuli sent me a bag of christmas beans and all was well in the world!

The real, o.g. christmas beans were definitely a lot less sharp, still had some bitter tones from the small parts robusta that were in there but far more sweet, cookie like.
