Friedhats El Salvador Filter 20221

After being pleasantly surprised by the Friedhats bean quality, we've decided to give them all a try. The El Salvador is a nice one in the lineup that offers a candy-like, sweet-sour taste. This macerated anaerobic coffee has been processed for 120 hours, resulting in a quite funky flavor profile. When brewing with the Flair Pro 2, we found that a 1.25 grind setting was too fast, and a 1.0 setting was still not quite right. However, at a 0.5 grind setting, we achieved the perfect balance.

At the 0.5 grind setting, we finally discovered some darker tastes as well. The coffee became more rounded and less acidic, revealing notes of berries, cherries, and pineapple.
