In june 2020 we finally made an upgrade to our coffee gear (consisting mostly of the aeropress set I discussed in the aeropress blog. After spending hours and hours looking up what the perfect coffee grinder would be I finally decided on the Baratza Encore. It is a high quality entry model grinder with a consistent range of grind sizes.
update: recently we have modded our baratza encore to be stepless. I've done a technical write-up on this easy-to-accomplish modification which makes this grinder able to grind more different settings of fine grounds for espresso.
